"Baking soda neutralizes the ph in the soil and nothing will grow there. use baking soda around all of the edges of flower beds to keep the grass and weeds from growing into beds. Just sprinkle it onto the soil so that it covers it lightly. Do this twice a year - spring and fall."
Definitely going to make these for my garden how whimsical are these, cheap too, Dollar store has them 3 for a buck.... and a Sharpie.... garden signs / tags... easy and cute... label those plants... great for herbs..
Lavender- Can be a bit tricky to grow, but it can thrive in the right conditions. It likes it hot, sunny, and dry. mix a bit of sand in the soil when planting and fertilize with lime (lavender HATES acidity!) It can get woody after a few years if not pruned regularly in the fall. Prune almost to the ground to ensure fullness next year
